Jackson Hole Wildlife Festival Announces Science Media Award Winners

Jackson Hole, WY, USA -- TheJackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival has announced the finalistsselected for its inaugural Science Media Awards Competition. Internationallyrenowned as the largest and most prestigious competition of the natural historygenre, this latest initiative creates the first comprehensive internationalforum to celebrate excellence in communicating the wonders of science to publicaudiences. This year’s entries included 280 films entering more than 450categories to compete for 18 special awards.  More than 80 internationaljudges screened an aggregated 1500+ hours in order to determine the finalists. Programs were selected from over 400 entries by a prestigious jury including: DavidDugan, William Grant, Richard Hutton, Valentine Kass and Alison Leigh andcelebrated a gala event hosted at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Winners of the prestigious international competition are:
